Homemade Peanut Butter Bread Recipe

Peanut Butter Bread ~ Real-Mommy.com

Oh, you read it right, Peanut Butter Bread!

This delicious little creation has the peanut buttery goodness baked right in!

We have an overflow of peanut butter from stocking up during sale times, and I’m always on the lookout for great new recipes to put it to use…even though I know my hubby and Maddie would gladly just eat it by the spoonful!

This Peanut Butter Bread only takes about 10 minutes to put together, and the ingredients are most likely already in your cupboards! Bonus!

Peanut Butter Recipe

Maddie loves this bread for breakfast on her “picky mornings” where no normal breakfast will do! It’s also a quick and easy sandwich at lunch time with some bananas and jam in the middle!

The peanut butter taste is not overwhelming either, just enough that you know it’s not your average slice of bread!

For those of you (us!) with a sweet tooth, try adding 1/3 cup chocolate chips to your dough and enjoy bread that tastes like Reese’s Peanut Butter cups….you really can’t go wrong when chocolate and peanut come together!

Homemade Peanut Butter Bread Recipe

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk

  1. Mix all your dry ingredients in a bowl and shake around until blended.
  2. Add the milk, egg and peanut butter together and mix in separate bowl.
  3. Add the wet ingredients mixture to the dry bowl and stir it all in until well blended.
  4. *When it starts getting stiffer I just get in there with my hands and pretty much knead it like a normal bread!
  5. Place in a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degree for 50-60 minutes (will vary by oven, until a stick inserted in the center comes out clean).
  6. Allow to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before moving to a cooling rack.

It’s completely up to you the use of it, our little one is just a peanut butter addict, so if there’s peanut butter involved…it’s a meal! LOL:)
You don’t need to put butter on it again after slicing, but jam is really nice;)
